Award for Distinguished Contibutions to Psychology in the Public Interest and the
Award for Outstanding Service to the Field of Trauma Psychology
by the American Psychological Association on August 5-6, 2011

Both will be awarded at the APA annual convention August 5-6, 2011.

The Award for Distinguished Contributions to Psychology in the Public Interest (Senior Career).  This award
recognizes people who have advanced psychology as a science and/or profession by a single extraordinary achievement or a lifetime of outstanding contributions in the public interest. See http://www.apa.org/pi/governance/awards/index.aspx

The Award for Outstanding Service to the Field of Trauma Psychology from APA´s Division 56 (Trauma Psychology). This award recognizes sustained contributions of leadership in the field of trauma psychology. See http://www.apatraumadivision.org/honors.php

She will also be giving an invited address entitled "Coping With Life's Personal and Collective Tragedies".
