Her talk will highlight some of the ways in which involvement in close relationships is associated with mental and physical health, particularly in the context of a chronic illness, among racial and ethnically diverse adult and older adult populations and describe my efforts to design interventions that consider patients' social networks and personal resources to promote health in later life and to address these disparities.
